Legacy of the Web
“Legacy of the Web” – Concept Poster
Client: Personal Fan-Art Exploration (Winter 2021)

Inspired by the promotional art for Spider-Man: Far From Home and the layered mentor-protégé bond between Peter Parker and Tony Stark, this digital poster investigates how visual storytelling can convey grief, legacy, and growth in a single frame.

After deconstructing the studio poster’s composition—color hierarchy, typographic rhythm, and symbolic placement—I rebuilt a scene that places Peter at center stage, illuminated in Stark-tech hues while shadows of Iron Man motifs orbit behind him. A split palette drives the emotion: crimson and gold echo Tony’s enduring influence, while cooler blues highlight Peter’s youthful optimism and unresolved loss. Subtle gadget silhouettes and arc-reactor light flares weave Stark’s presence throughout, underscoring the weight of expectation on a new hero.

Key takeaways
-
Narrative design: Translated MCU character dynamics into symbolic visual cues.
-
Emotive color theory: Balanced warm “legacy” tones with cool “coming-of-age” hues to depict dual inspiration and absence.
-
Iconic integration: Embedded recognizable Stark tech and Spidey elements without overwhelming the central character arc.

Legacy of the Web is both a tribute to Marvel’s poster artistry and a stand-alone exploration of mentorship, responsibility, and the echoes a hero leaves behind.
