Cindy for Bellaire Website
Cindy Cohen-Taylor for Bellaire City Council – Campaign Website
Web Design & Digital Strategy | Fall 2023
I was hired to design and manage the official campaign website for Mrs. Cohen-Taylor’s run for Bellaire City Council. Drawing on my background in web development, I created a clean, accessible, and visually engaging site that clearly communicated her platform, values, and priorities to the community.
This project expanded my skills in digital outreach, including the integration of social media feeds, the setup of email list sign-ups, and the application of basic SEO principles to improve visibility. I worked closely with Mrs. Cohen-Taylor to ensure that the site accurately reflected her voice and goals, translating her vision into a user-friendly digital experience.
The final website served as the campaign’s central online hub—supporting voter engagement, volunteer sign-ups, and event promotion—while also deepening my experience in client collaboration, content strategy, and full-cycle web management.

Cindy Cohen-Taylor for City Council – Campaign Flyer Design
Print Design & Campaign Messaging | Fall 2023
I designed this campaign flyer for Ms. Cohen-Taylor’s meet-and-greet events, where it was distributed to attendees as an introduction to her platform and key policy goals. I took the lead on both the design and content development, ensuring the flyer effectively communicated her message to potential voters.
To maintain brand consistency, I carefully aligned the flyer’s visual style with the campaign’s existing identity. This included matching typography, color palettes, and graphic elements with those used on the website, logo, and other promotional materials. The result was a cohesive, professional look across all campaign touchpoints.
The content was structured to highlight Ms. Cohen-Taylor’s priorities clearly and concisely, using headings, bullet points, and a clean layout to ensure readability. I also incorporated high-quality imagery to draw attention and make the piece more engaging.
Crucially, the flyer included a strong call to action—encouraging recipients to visit the campaign website and sign up for updates—bridging the gap between in-person engagement and ongoing digital outreach. This project not only showcased my design skills, but also my ability to translate strategic messaging into accessible, voter-friendly materials that supported the campaign’s community-building goals.
Cindy Cohen-Taylor for City Council – Campaign Door Hanger Design
Print Design & Direct Voter Outreach | Fall 2023
At the request of Ms. Cindy Cohen-Taylor, I designed a custom campaign door hanger to be distributed throughout neighborhoods in Bellaire as part of her grassroots outreach strategy. The goal was to create a visually engaging, easy-to-read piece that would connect with residents at their doorstep and drive traffic to her campaign platform.
The front side of the hanger featured a bold QR code, prominently placed for quick scanning, directing recipients to her official campaign website. This digital bridge allowed voters instant access to more information about her background, policies, and ways to get involved.
On the reverse side, I highlighted Ms. Cohen-Taylor’s key policy points and campaign slogan, organized into clear, concise bullet points for readability. The design balanced text and visuals to ensure the message was both informative and approachable.
A unique challenge in this project was designing around the die-cut hole used to hang the piece on door handles. I had to carefully plan the layout to ensure no critical content—especially the QR code or headlines—was obstructed. This required precise spacing, alignment, and multiple test prints to maintain both function and visual integrity.
To ensure brand consistency, I matched the design’s color palette, typography, and tone with the rest of her campaign materials. The final door hangers were professionally printed and distributed citywide, serving as a direct and effective tool for voter engagement.

Cindy Cohen-Taylor for City Council – Campaign Business Cards
Print Design & Voter Engagement | Fall 2023
I was commissioned to design and produce business cards for Mrs. Cindy Cohen-Taylor’s City Council campaign. These cards were created to support her community outreach efforts, promote her candidacy, and serve as a quick, tangible way to connect with potential voters during events and one-on-one interactions.
The front of the card features her name prominently alongside a professional headshot and her campaign title, all set in bold, clean typography. I included a direct call to action—“Vote!”—**to reinforce the campaign’s urgency and purpose.
On the reverse side, I integrated a scannable QR code that links directly to her campaign website, giving recipients immediate access to her platform, upcoming events, and volunteer opportunities. To ensure brand consistency, I drew design elements from her existing campaign materials, carefully matching the color palette, fonts, and overall tone to maintain a unified visual identity.
Once the final design was approved, I oversaw production using high-quality cardstock, ensuring a polished, professional finish. The completed cards served as an effective, compact marketing tool that helped increase her visibility and encouraged continued engagement through digital channels.
